I'm not a software developer. I bring the questions and Claude Code does the building; these are the answers, with the null results left in and every number carrying its source.

The Same Industries, Six Other Cities

Against six other metros, San Francisco is last in three of six recovery dimensions (payroll employment, population, housing permits) and in the bottom two on all six; Miami leads. Of the 20 differences measured or confirmed by a document and read against that order, four line up (state income tax, top marginal rate; state tax on long-term capital gains, top rate; observed rent, February 2020; typical home value, February 2020); remote work does not put the city at the extreme. The city trails the rest of its own metro on both residents in work and jobs, but so do all six other cities on residents in work, so the gap is real and not unusual; the shortfall against Seattle and New York runs through most industries rather than technology alone; and the state income tax result still sorts the largest metros with region held fixed. 80 of 147 coded policy facts have been checked against a source so far; nine rows are confirmed for some metros only and five not at all, and none of those is read.

Seattle, Austin, New York, Boston, Miami and Portland beside San Francisco on nine recovery measures, an ordering anyone can recount, and a ledger of what differs, read only where a document confirms it.
